PICTURE SEARCH OPTIONS

The most basic wa y to search during playback is using the FORWARD or REVERSE buttons. This section contains several other options available for searching a tape.

FORWARD AND REVERSE SEARCH

You can search a tape during playback. Sound is turned off during picture search. Search works well for tapes recorded at either the SP or SLP speed.

1.Press FOR WARD to sear ch forward or REVERSE to sear ch in reverse.

2. Press FOR WARD or REVERSE a gain or press PLA Y to return to normal playback.

SLOW MOTION

You can view a tape during play or play-pause using slow motion. Slow motion works well for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed.

1.During playback,press PAUSE and then FOR WARD or REVERSE to begin slow-motion playback,

2.Press FOR WARD to incr ease or REVERSE to decr ease the speed of the search.

3.Use TRACKING up or down to remove any streaks from the picture.

4.Pr ess PLA Y to return to normal playback.

The VCR switches automatically from slow-motion playback to stop after a few minutes.

COMMERCIAL SCAN (SEARCH BUTTON)

This is useful for skipping commercials or short program segments.

1.Press SEARCH once during playback to advance the tape approximately 30 seconds of recorded material.

2.Each press of the SEARCH button adds an additional 30 seconds up to five minutes.
