Cleaning and Maintenance

Giving a Comfortable,

Even Cut

Allow the clipper to cut through the hair without moving it too quickly. Moving the clipper too quickly may create a pulling sensation.

Use short strokes when cutting, and initially use the longest setting. You can always use a closer setting later if you want a closer cut.

How to Give a Haircut

1.Start at the back of the head. Holding the clipper as shown, lightly stroke upward making sure you are taking off the desired amount of hair. Work your way up to the crown of the head. When completed, move clipper over and cut down the head to the nape of the neck. The SCC-100R is a bidirectional hair cutter so you can cut in either direction.

2.Repeat the same procedure across the back of the head. Make sure the length of the hair is trimmed to the same length on both sides of the head.

3.To cut the hair at the top of the head, cut

from the front to the back in both directions until the hair is cut to the desired length.

4.To trim around the ears and short hairs at the

nape of the neck simply press the

release button and slide the pop-up detail trimmer

outward. Be careful not to

touch the ears or to press too hard.

5.Make sure to check over the entire head for any uneven areas.

Cleaning

Before You Begin

1.The hair clipper shall be detached from the power supply cord before cleaning.

2.The hair clipper shall not be used until it has dried.

This appliance is a washable product, the hand-held part of which may be cleaned under water.

How To Clean

1.First remove the attached comb from the clipper by pulling it firmly away from the blades.

2.For best

results, you can remove the inside blade guard to expose the blades.

3.Then use the brush provided to

sweep away hair clippings from the product.

4.This device can also be rinsed under the faucet to remove any remaining debris.

5.After cleaning is complete, reassemble the blade guard to the product by snapping it into its original position.

6.Reattach the comb to the product.

Note: After rinsing, the blades should be oiled for optimum performance and product life.

Blade Care

The life of your clippers will depend on frequency of use, care, and hair type and condition. The Shortcut Clipper blades are lubed for life for your convenience. However, if you rinse the product under running water, an oil bottle has been provided to re-oil the blades.
