6. Troubleshooting
If an error occurs, the type of error is indicated by a combination of lit indicators, as mentioned on page 9. Follow the appropriate directions below. If the error is not solved by the measures given below, contact your service representative for assistance.
¡ Lamp cover open

This indicates that the lamp cover is not closed.
Corrective action
1. Open the document feeder.
2. Remove the lamp cover and then rein- stall it correctly.
