FAQ / TROUBLESHOOTING

Note: Before contacting customer support please review the following Frequently Asked Questions.

What if my DVR has the error message “HDD Not Found?”

This message normally indicates that the DVR’s processor cannot

nd the hard disc drive that holds all of the media, either due to damage or a temporary recognition error due to an overheating issue. Try allowing the DVR to cool down to room temperature and re-insert it into the dock or T10/T12 unit.

What if my DVR isn’t showing certain files that I uploaded in the folder menus or no files at all?

There are 3 conditions that can potentially create this diffi culty:

1.The content was not properly loaded to the unit. Attempt to re-load the content and ensure proper insertion and recognition of the USB cable into your computer and that the DVR USB connection is safely removed after loading.

2.If the content is visible under the FILE MANAGER but not under any of the other folders or modes, the media that was loaded to the DVR may not be supported or is corrupted. Media folders ONLY recognize supported media fi les. For example the “Photo” menu would only list picture fi les that the DVR can display. Any non-supported fi les would simply be ignored, even though they are present on the DVR. The fi les present on the DVR can be viewed (whether they are supported by the DVR or not) by con- necting the DVR to a computer via the USB cable and opening the DVR as a removable storage device. For a list of supported media fi les please refer to page 15 in this manual.

3.The DVR’s processor cannot recognize the DVR’s hard disc drive, which holds the DVR’s media content. In this case please refer to the FAQ “What if my DVR has the error message ‘HDD Not Found’?” above.

What if my DVR freezes during playback?

The DVR may experience delays or problems with playback if the media being played is unsupported or corrupted. In this case attempt to shutdown the DVR and remove it from its dock or T10/ T12 unit. Re-insert the DVR into the dock or T10/T12 unit and attempt to re-start playback. If the fi le still experiences diffi culties playing attempt to re-load this fi le onto the DVR, and ensure that this file is un-corrupted and fully supported. For a list of supported media types please refer to page 15 of this manual.

What if my DVR does not playback my media files?

Unsupported or corrupted fi les will not play or have trouble play- ing back, for a list of supported media please see page 15 of this manual. Ensure that the fi le was uploaded to the DVR correctly from a computer. If the USB cable was damaged or if the USB was not safely removed the fi le may be corrupted.
