SETTING UP

After removing the lawnmower from the carton remove any loose packaging between the mower base and handle bars used for transport.

Handle bar assembly- refer figure 1

∙Lift the upper handle bars off the mower and swing over to align with the lower handle bars.

∙Hand tighten the two black knobs to hold the upper handle bars in position

∙To fold the handle bars for storage loosen the two black knobs and fold the handle bars forward. Taking care not to damage the throttle control cable.

Grass catcher assembly- refer figure 2

∙Position the catcher top over the catcher bottom

∙Align all the barbs on the catcher top with the slots in the catcher bottom

∙Press firmly down on the catcher top to lock the barbs in to the slots

Engine oil- Refer to the engine manufacturer owner’s manual

The engine fitted to the Scott Bonnar lawnmower is shipped with no oil in the sump.

Oil must be added before attempting to start the engine otherwise damage to the engine will occur.

Engine fuel-Refer to the engine manufacturer owner’s manual

Use only fresh unleaded petrol in the lawnmower engine.
