Jos ilmastointilaitetta käytetään viilennystilassa pitkäaikaisesti ilman kosteuspitoisuuden ollessa korkea, saattaa muodostua kastetta.

Laitteen käyttäminen muissa kuin edellä luetelluissa olosuhteissa, saattaa laukaista turvalaitteen, joka pysäyttää yksikön.
