애플 네트워크에서는 Ad-hoc 모드를 computer-to-computer 모드라고도 합니다 .

InfraStructure 모드

엑세스 포인트

이 모드에서는 엑세스 포인트를 통하여 네트워크에 연결된 장치들이 통신합니다 .

엑세스 포인트는 유선 네트워크 환경과 무선 네크워크 환경에 연결된 장치를 서로 연결해주는 장치입니다 .

InfraStructure 모드의 경우 프린터는 엑세스 포인트를 통해 유선과 무선 네트워크 환경에 연결된 컴퓨터로부터 인쇄 작업을 받습니다 .

애플네트워크에서는 Airport Network 모드라고도 합니다 .
