Vaihe 1: Levytyypin tai kiintolevyn valitseminen

Tarkista levyn tyyppi ennen tallentamista.

Jos haluat tallentaa toistuvasti samalle levylle tai muokata levyä tallennuksen jälkeen, valitse uudelleenkirjoitettava DVD-RW- tai DVD-RAM-tyyppinen levy. Jos haluat tehdä tallenteen, jota ei muuteta, valitse DVD-RW-levy, jolle ei voi kirjoittaa uudelleen. Voit tallentaa tiedostoja suoraan laitteen kiintolevylle tai muokata tallennettua tiedostoa.

Vaihe 2 : Levyn alustaminen tallennusta varten

Toisin kuin videonauhuri, tallennin aloittaa alustamisen automaattisesti, kun laitteeseen asetetaan käyttämätön levy. Tämä on välttämätöntä levyn valmistelemiseksi tallennusta varten.

DVD-RAM-levyt

Nämä levyt voidaan alustaa DVD-videotallennusmuotoon (VR-tila). Voit muokata tallennettua kuvaa, luoda soittolistan ja muokata kuvia haluamassasi järjestyksessä.

DVD-RW-levyt

Nämä levyt voidaan alustaa joko DVD-videomuotoon (V-tila) tai DVD-videotallennusmuotoon (VR-tila). Jos levy on käyttämätön, esiin tulee ilmoitus, joka kysyy, alustetaanko levy. Jos valitset alustusmuodoksi ”DVD-VR” tai ”DVD-V”, laite aloittaa levyn alustuksen. Videotilaan tallennettua levyä voidaan toistaa muilla DVD-laitteilla. VR- tilaan tallennettu levy sallii monipuolisemman muokkauksen.

DVD-R-levyt

Levyä ei tarvitse alustaa, ja ainoastaan Videotilan tallennusta tuetaan. Tällaista levyä voidaan toistaa muilla DVD-laitteilla vasta sitten, kun se on viimeistelty.
