Trinn 3 : Innspilling

To forskjellige innspillingsmetoder kan brukes, direkteinnspilling og innspilling med timer. Innspilling med timer er klassiﬁsert.

Innspillingsmodus : XP(høy kvalitet), SP (standardkvalitet), LP(lang innspilling) og EP (forlenget spilletid) i henhold til innspillingsmodusen. Når innspillingen skjer i FR-modus blir bildet med best kvalitet spilt inn i forhold til hvor mye tid det er igjen på platen.

Trinn 4 : Avspilling

Velg ønsket tittel fra en meny, og start deretter avspillingen umiddelbart.

En DVD består av seksjoner kalt titler og underseksjoner kalt kapitler.

Trinn 5 : Redigere en innspilt plate

Det er lettere å redigere plater enn vanlige videobånd. Spilleren støtter mange forskjellige redigeringsfunksjoner som bare kan brukes med

DVD-plater og harddisker (HDD).

Fra en enkel meny kan du utføre forskjellige redigeringsfunksjoner som sletting, kopiering, gi nytt navn, låsing osv., for en innspilt tittel.

Opprette en spilleliste (DVD-RAM/-RW i VR-modus, HDD)

Med denne spilleren kan en ny spilleliste lages og redigeres på samme plate uten at originalinnspillingen endres.

Trinn 6 : Sluttbehandling og avspilling på andre DVD-komponenter

Før DVD-platen kan spilles på andre DVD-komponenter, må den sluttbehandles. Først må alle redigerings- og innspillingsoperasjoner fullføres, deretter må platen sluttbehandles.

Med en DVD-RW-plate i VR-modus

Selv om sluttbehandling vanligvis er unødvendig når platen spilles på en VR-modus-kompatibel komponent, bør det brukes en sluttbehandlet plate ved avspilling på denne komponenttypen.

Med en DVD-RW-plate i videomodus

Platen bør sluttbehandles før den kan spilles på noe annet enn denne opptakeren. Når platen har blitt sluttbehandlet, er det ikke lenger mulig å redigere eller spille inn på den.

Hvis du skal aktivere ny innspilling til platen, må platens sluttbehandling fjernes.

Med en DVD-R-plate

Du bør sluttbehandle platen før den kan spilles av på noen annen komponent enn denne spilleren. Etter sluttbehandling kan ikke platen redigeres eller spilles inn til.
