Jei fotoaparatas tinkamai nepritaiko scenos režimo, bus taikomi numatytieji nustatymai.

Net jei aptinkamas veidas, fotoaparatas priklausomai nuo objekto padėties arba apšvietimo gali neparinkti tinkamo portreto režimo. Fotoaparatas gali neparinkti tinkamos scenos priklausomai nuo fotografavimo aplinkos, pvz.: fotoaparato judėjimo, apšvietimo ir atstumo iki fiksuojamo objekto.

Režimu [Naktinis] scenos atpažįstamos tik tada, kai išjungta

blykstė. Fotoaparatas veikia režimu [Trikojis], kai per tam tikra laika patikrinamos fotografavimo sąlygos fotoaparatui esant ant trikojo. Net jei naudojamasi trikoju, priklausomai nuo subjekto judesio fotoaparatas gali nepasirinkti trikojo režimo
