Con l'aumento della risoluzione, la foto o il video contiene un maggiore numero di pixel, quindi sarà possibile stamparla su carta di dimensioni maggiori o visualizzarlo su uno schermo più grande. Se utilizzate una risoluzione elevata, aumenta anche la dimensione del file.

4000 X 3000: Stampate su carta formato A1.

3984 X 2656: Stampa su carta formato A2 utilizzando il rapporto wide (3:2).

3840 X 2160: Stampa su fogli A2 nel rapporto panorama (16:9) o riproduzione su HDTV.

3264 X 2448: Stampa su carta formato A3.

2560 X 1920: Stampa su carta formato A4.

2048 X 1536: Stampa su carta formato A5.

1920 X 1080: Stampa su fogli A5 nel rapporto panorama (16:9) o riproduzione su HDTV.
