SD/SDHC mälukaardil on kirjutuskaitse lüliti, mis väldib olukorda, kus pildifailid kustutatakse või vormindatakse ümber. Lüliti libistamisel SD- mälukaardi allserva on andmed kaitstud. Lüliti libistamisel SD-mälukaardi ülaserva tühistatakse andmete kaitsmine.

Libistage lüliti enne pildi tegemist SD-mälukaardi ülaserva.

All on toodud ülesvõtete arv, kui kasutate 1 GB SD-mälukaarti. Need andmed on umbkaudsed, kuna pildi kvaliteeti võivad mõjutada sellised muutujad nagu pildistatav objekt ning mälukaardi tüüp.
