Citlivost ISO

Expozice obrazu je určena citlivostí čipu fotoaparátu. Tato citlivost je založena na mezinárodních normách, známých jako ISO. U digitálních fotoaparátů se toto hodnocení citlivosti používá k popisu citlivosti celého digitálního snímače na světlo.

Citlivost ISO se zdvojnásobí s dvojnásobným číslem. Např. při nastavení ISO 200 se může snímek pořídit dvojnásobnou rychlostí oproti nastavení ISO 100. Vyšší nastavení ISO může však způsobit zvýšení„šumu“ – v obraze se vyskytují drobné světlé a barevné body, které mu dodávají zrnitý a neostrý vzhled. Všeobecně se doporučuje za dobrých světelných podmínek používat nízké ISO, dokud není nutné fotografovat v noci a za špatného světla.

Změna kvality a jasu snímku v závislosti na citlivosti ISO

Nižší citlivost ISO znamená, že fotoaparát je méně citlivý ke světlu, pro optimální expozici je tedy nutné větší osvětlení. Při použití nižší citlivosti ISO proto otevřete více clonu nebo prodlužte expoziční dobu, aby do fotoaparátu dopadlo více světla. Je-li např. slunečný den, je světla dostatek a nižší ISO nevyžaduje delší expoziční dobu. Při špatných světelných podmínkách ovšem nízká citlivost ISO povede k tmavému snímku. Proto doporučujeme citlivost ISO mírně zvýšit.
