6-1-2 Service error indications

Service errors are represented by the alternating flashing of the indicators (LEDs). Each error is represented by the notation of four digits code and can be monitored on the Remote Operation Panel utility. e.g. Call service 2000 is for the main motor error.

(1) 2000 - Main motor error

Printer indicators

Call service 2000:nnnnnn

Remove and check harness (S02773) between engine board (KP-882) and main motor at pins 6 to 9 on both ends.

	OK?
	Yes
No	+24 V DC at
	pin 9 of CN1 on
	main motor?
	Yes

Replace harness (S02773) between engine board (KP-882) and main motor.

Connect circuit tester to pin 8 (MOTORN) of YC04 on engine board (KP-882) and ground.

							Connect oscilloscope to
							pin 8 (MOTORN) and
	Turn printer power off,						pin 7 (MRDYN) of CN1
	then on.						on main motor.
	Print status page.						Turn power switch off,
							then on.
	Does
	pin 8 (MOTORN)			Yes		Print status page.
of YC04 on engine board
	(KP-882)	goes high,
	then	low?
							Does
			No	No			pin 7 (MRDYN)
					of CN1 on main motor goes
					high, then low,			within 3 seconds

	Replace engine board						goes low?
