Using the ﬂash popup button

The ﬂash operates when you pop-up the built-in ﬂash by pressing the ﬂash button. When the ﬂash is closed,

it will not burst out the light and the , , ,

Flash button

1In the Shooting mode, press [].

2Align your subject in the frame and half- press [Shutter] to focus.

3Press [Shutter] to take a photo.

•Even if you have opened the ﬂash using the 'Flash' button, the ﬂash will not work if you have the Flash Option in the menu set to Off.

Setting the ﬂash option

If a picture is taken in a dark place, the picture may appear to be dark since the light source is not sufﬁcient. Press [] to pop up the ﬂash.

•You can take a better picture if the subject is located within the operational range of the ﬂash. (Refer to the Guide Number in “Speciﬁcation,”)
