Phone Settings

The Phone Settings options let you tailor your phones basic operations.

To access the Phone Settings sub-menu, do the following:

1.At the Settings menu, select Phone Settings. The Phone Settings sub-menu appears in the display.

2.Select the desired sub-menu from one of the following:

Airplane Mode: when set to On, Airplane Mode disables all radio functions of your phone. This prevents you from receiving or making calls (except emergency calls), but allows you to use other features (such as the camera and the Tools) safely in sensitive environments, such as on board an aircraft.

Language: this option can change the language of voice prompts, menus, and key-input. You can select English or Español (Spanish).

Security: use the Security sub-menu to lock your phone, set up emergency numbers, enable or disable voice privacy, set restrictions, and other security options. You will need your lock code which is by default, the last four digits of your phone number. The following Security options are available:

Lock Phone: Locking the phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to 911 emergency and the three user-programmable emergency numbers. You can lock the phone manually during use, or set the phone to lock automatically when it is turned on. With the phone in lock mode, you can answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the phone to place outgoing calls (except to emergency and secret numbers).

Change Lock: The default lock code for your phone is generally the last four digits of your phone number. It is advisable to change the default lock code to a secret code for security purposes.

Note: Your phone does not allow you to view the lock code for obvious security reasons. If you change the lock code, be sure to write down or memorize the new code.
