–„CTR 21“ dėl visos Europos atskirų galinių įrenginių jungimo prie viešojo komutuojamo telefono tinklo.

Žymėjimas ženklu nurodo, kad ši įranga atitinka radijo ir telekomunikacijų stočių įrangos direktyvą 1999/5/EB. Toks ženklas parodo, kad ši įranga atitinka ar viršija šiuos techninius standartus:

CTR 21 – Galinių įrenginių (išskyrus balso telefonijos pagrįstų atvejų paslaugas palaikančius galinius įrenginius) prijungimo prie analoginių viešųjų komutuojamų telefono tinklų, kai tinklo adresavimas, jei jis teikiamas, atliekamas dvitone daugiadažne (DTMF) signalizavimo sistema, visos Europos tvirtinimo reikalavimai.

Nors ši įranga gali naudoti arba kilpos atjungimo (pulsinį), arba DTMF (tono) signalizavimą, tik DTMF signalizavimui

taikomi teisingo veikimo norminiai reikalavimai.

Patartina, kad ši įranga būtų nustatyta naudoti DTMF signalizavimą, kad galėtų prieiti prie viešųjų ir privačiųjų pagalbos paslaugų. DTMF signalizavimas taip pat užtikrina greitesnį skambučio sujungimą.

Tačiau dėl atskirų įvairiose šalyse teikiamų viešųjų komutuojamų telefono tinklų skirtumų pats tvirtinimas besąlygiškai neužtikrina, kad kiekvienas įrenginys sėkmingai veiks visuose viešojo komutuojamo telefono tinklo galiniuose taškuose.
