Media Play

¦Connecting a USB Device
1. Turn on your TV.
2. Connect a USB device containing photo, music and/or movie fi les to the
USB port on the back or side panel of the TV.
3. When USB is connected to the TV, popup window appears. Then you can select
Media Play.
If an external USB device connec ted to the TV’s USB port draws an excessi ve
amount of current from the port, the me ssage "USB Power overload" appea rs
on the screen. This is not a problem with th e TV, which provides the standard
current from its USB ports, but a prob lem with the external device. Pl ease
contact the manufacturer of the devi ce for support.
It might not work properly with unlic ensed multimedia files.
Need-to-Know List before using Med ia Play
MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) is not suppor ted.
The file system supports FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS.
Certain types of USB Digita l camera and audio devices m ay not be compatible with this TV.
Media Play only supports USB Mas s Storage Class (MSC) devices. MS C is a Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only
Transport device. Examples of MSC are T humb drives and Flash Card Re aders. Devices should be co nnected
directly to the TV’s USB port. USB (HDD) is not su pported.
Before connecting your device to the T V, please back up your files to prevent them f rom damage or loss of data.
SAMSUNG is not responsible for any dat a file damage or data loss.
Do not disconnect the USB device wh ile it is loading.
The higher the resolution of the imag e, the longer it takes to display on the sc reen.
The maximum supported JPEG re solution is 15360X8640 pixels.
For unsupported or corrupted fi les, the “Not Supported File For mat” message is displayed.
If the files are sorted by Basic View, up to 1000 fi les can be displayed in each fol der.
MP3 files with DRM that have been down loaded from a non-free site cannot b e played. Digital Rights Manag ement
(DRM) is a technology that suppor ts the creation, distribution an d management of the content in an inte grated and
comprehensive way, including the protectio n of the rights and interests of the content p roviders, the prevention of the
illegal copying of contents, as well as ma naging billings and settle ments.
If more than 2 PTP devices are connec ted, you can only use one at a time.
If more than two MSC devices are conne cted, some of them may not be recognize d. A USB device that requires high
power (more than 500mA or 5V) may not be s upported.
If an over-power warning message is displaye d while you are connecting or us ing a USB device, the device may not
be recognized or may malfunction.
If the TV has been no input durin g time set in Auto Protection Time, the S creensaver will run.
