Cleaning the debris filter

We recommend cleaning the debris filter at least 5 or 6 times a year, or when the “5E” error code is displayed. If foreign substances accumulate at the debris filter, the performance of the Eco Bubble function will be reduced.

CAUTION: Before cleaning the debris filter, make sure to unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet.

CAUTION: Do not disassemble the debris filter while the machine is running as hot water may flow out.

1. Open the filter cover by pressing down and pulling its handle.

2. Remove the remaining water (refer to the “Draining the washing machine in an emergency“ section on page 32.)

If you separate the debris filter without draining the remaining water, the remaining water may trickle out.

3.Unscrew the debris filter cap (A)by turning it to the left.

4. Wash any dirt or other material from the debris filter. Make sure the drain pump propeller behind the debris filter is not blocked.

5. Replace the debris filter.

6. Close the filter cover.

Make sure to replace the debris filter after cleaning it. If the debris filter is not reinserted into the machine, your washing machine may malfunction or water may leak.

Tighten the debris filter firmly after cleaning it. Failing to do so may result in a malfunction or water leak.

Cleaning the exterior

1.Wipe the washing machine surfaces, including the control panel, with a soft cloth using a nonabrasive household detergent.

2.Use a soft cloth to dry the surfaces.

CAUTION: Do not pour water onto the washing machine.
