wirele ss netw ork, th ese step s may he lp to reso lve the p robl em:
1. Confi rm that a W i-Fi co nnect ed PC can a ccess t he Inte rnet (i .e. can b rowse t he web) u sing th e
same net work.
2. Check that a DHCP se rver i s avai lable , or tha t you h ave co nfigu red a st atic I P addre ss on t he
radio. To con figur e the DHCP, yo u must rea d the ins truct ions su pplie d with the w irele ss
access p oint.
3. Che ck t hat your fire wall is n ot b locki ng a ny o utgoi ng po rts. As a min imum the radio nee ds
access to UDP an d TC P p orts 80, 554,1 755,5 000 and 7070 . To con figur e th e Ac cess Por t
Contro l, you mu st read th e instr uctio ns supp lied w ith the w irele ss acce ss poin t.
4. Chec k your acces s poin t does not re stric t conn ectio ns to p artic ular M AC add resse s. You ca n
view the r adio' s MAC ad dress u sing th e menu i tem Con figur e-> Ne twork C onfig -> View
Config -> MAC ad dress .
5. If you h ave an encry pted ne twork , chec k that y ou hav e ente red the corre ct key o r pass phras e
into the r adio. R ememb er that te xt-fo rmat ke ys are ca se sens itive . See pag es 19-2 0.
If your radio can co nnect to the netwo rk suc cessf ully, b ut is u nable to pla y part icula r stat ions, it
may be due t o one of th e follo wing ca uses:
1. Th e s tatio n i s n ot broad casti ng at this tim e o f t he day (rem ember it ma y b e l ocate d i n a
differe nt time z one).
2. The stat ion has r eache d the max imum al lowed n umber o f simul taneo us list eners .
3. The stat ion is no t broad casti ng anym ore.
4. The link o n the rad io is out o f date.
5. The Inte rnet co nnect ion bet ween th e serve r (ofte n in a diff erent c ountr y) and yo u is slow.
