You can co nnect an ext ernal sourc e to t his un it, su ch as a n MP3 o r CD playe r, etc. Conne ct an
audio ca ble (no t incl uded) f rom the AU X IN jac k at the b ack of th is unit t o the ex terna l unit' s AUX
OUT jack. T his wil l allow y ou to amp lify th e exter nal uni t's sou nd thro ugh thi s unit' s speak ers.
1. Press th e SELEC T butt on. (No te: if y ou mak e a mist ake at a ny poin t, pres s the BA CK but ton
go back to th e previ ous scr een.)
2. Turn t he knob u ntil th e displ ay says < Auxil iary In put>
3. Pre ss the SE LECT but ton.
4. Co nnect the e xtern al un it's AU DIO O UT jac k on t he re ar of the u nit vi a an audio cable (not
includ ed). Tur n on th e exter nal un it, se t its vo lume c ontro l (if th ere is one) to mid-p ositi on at
first a nd ope rate it as usual . Dist ortio n wil l resu lt if the e xtern al uni t's v olume setti ng is too
high.
5. The s ound wi ll be hea rd thro ugh thi s unit' s speak er.
6. Use VOL UME + or - but tons on t his uni t to adju st the de sired v olume l evel.
7. When fini shed lis tenin g, turn off the po wer of the exte rnal uni t. Press SEL ECT or BACK
button on th is un it to go b ack t o mai n men u for FM or Inte rnet liste ning, espe ciall y if wake
alarms a re prog ramme d.
