Using Automatic Speech Recognition

Your phone is equipped with an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) feature. This feature allows you to make calls or use the phone’s functions by simply using your voice. All you have to do is to talk into the phone, and the phone will recognize your voice and complete tasks by itself. You can activate Automatic Speech Recognition whether the phone is open or closed.

Activating Automatic Speech Recognition

To activateAutomatic Speech Recognition:

From standby mode, press .

The phone displays the Command menu and prompts you to say the name of the command you want to use. To complete your task, simply follow the voice prompts. You can speak the command after you hear a beep and your phone displays the icon.

The following is a list of availableASR commands:

Contact to call an entry in your Contacts list. (See page 87 for details.)

Dial Number to dial a phone number by speaking the number. (See page 88 for details.)

Find Contact to find an entry stored in your Contacts list. (See page 88 for details.)

Go to <menu item> to open an item in the main menu. (See page 94 for details.)

International to make an international call. (See page 91 for details.)

Call Voice Tag to call the name or phone number stored in the Voice Tag List. (See page 89 for details.)

Tools to select additional commands from Digit Training, Add Voice Tag, Review Voice Tag, Erase Voice Tag, or Phone Status.
