SHOE MOUNT

Various devices—such as an external microphone, an auxiliary flash unit, a video light, etc.—can be attached to the shoe mount on top of the camera. Use the shoe mount for superior image quality when shooting.

About connectable devices

i Only a slave flash unit can be used with the shoe mount. i Note that the shoe mount on this camera is not a hot shoe.

i The shoe mount may not accommodate some devices, such as some large-size flash units or video lights.

CAUTION

i Take care not to apply undue force when attaching a device to the camera’s shoe mount, as doing so may damage the shoe mount or the adaptor on the device.
