SETTING THE DATE AND TIME

The digital camera will record the date and time an image or audio recording is taken so that you can display them during playback. Therefore, before capturing images, make sure the correct date and time are set.

Example: To set the clock to August 28, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.

1 Display the Shooting Option Setting Screen (or Playback Option Setting Screen) (see page 29).

2 Press l button on the arrow button to select “CLOCK SET”, and then press the SET button.

œThe CLOCK SET menu appears.

œThe current date and time settings appear.

œFollow the procedures below to set whether to display the date during playback, to set the date and time, and to set the display format for the date.

œTo return to the Option Setting Screens, press the MODE button, or select “EXIT” and press the SET button.

œIf the date and time are not set, January 1, 2000 midnight is recorded as the date and time. Consequently, “2000/01/01 00:00” appears during playback.

œUnder normal conditions, while the batteries are replaced, an internal battery will maintain the date and time settings. However, there is a small chance the settings may be lost. (The backup will last for approx. 30 minutes.) It is recommended to check that the date and time settings are still correct after replacing the batteries and before shooting or recording of any type (follow steps 1 and 2).
