Installing the USB Driver for Windows 2000
Follow these steps to install the USB driver on a
Windows 2000 system.
1. Wait until the Power and Status indicators on
the cable modem illuminate solid green, then
plug the USB cable into the USB port on your
PC. The Found New Hardware Wizard window
appears.
2. Click Next.
3. In the Found New Hardware Wizard window,
select Search for a suitable driver for my
device (recommended), then click Next.
4. Insert the USB Driver installation disk into
floppy disk drive A.
5. In the Found New Hardware Wizard window,
select Floppy disk drives, then click Next. The
Found New Hardware Wizard window
updates.
6. In the Found New Hardware Wizard Window,
click Next again. The Digital Signature Not
Found window appears.
7. In the Digital Signature Not Found window,
click Yes to continue the installation. The Found
New Hardware Wizard reappears.
8. Click Finish.
