TO USE:
1 Rotate the cord release to quickly release t he
power cord.
2 Secure the power cord in the cord hook.
= Brush Rol l ON
= Bare Floor
= OFF
3 Press the On/O ff switch (a) to the “I” position t o
vacuum bare floors (straight suc tion only) or to the
“II” position to engage the motorized floor brush
(for vacuuming carpets and ru gs). (Fig. 11)
I MPORTA NT: The motorized bru sh indicator light
(b) will illuminate green when moto rized floor
brush is on, or red if there is a blockage o r jam.

Lifetime Belt that powers your m otorized floor
brush. See Checking for Blockag es on page 15.
4 Gently p ress the floor nozzle down wi th your foot
while you grasp the handle and tilt it ba ck towards
you. (Fig. 12)
N OTE: The rotating brush on the motoriz ed
floor brush will not spin unless the noz zle is flat
against the floor and the handle is tilted bac k.
5 Due to the huge suction power of t his
vacuum, it may become ne cessary at
times to adjust the suc tion release (c) on
the handle. (Fig. 11) If the vacuum see ms
difficult to push or pu ll or if it is lifting
up area rugs, adjust th e suction release
by rotating the collar 90° counterclockwise
to open the valve. Rotate t he collar
clockwise to close t he valve when you need
high suction and for va cuuming floors.
6 Empty d ust cup after vacuuming and pe riodically
during use when it appears full. (Se e
“Maintenance” section for instructions.)
7 When yo u are finished vacuuming, turn the
vacuum off.
