from the wall when not in use. N ever
fill the mop, attach the mop h ead,
change or remove the micro-fi ber
pocket when the mop is plugg ed into
the wall. If you have hard water you
might want to use distilled water to
prolong the life of the Shark ® Steam
Mop. Make sure you only add water
to the tank. Chemicals o r cleaning
solution may damage the app liance
and could be unsafe for you an d
your family.

1 Turn the water tank cap counter
clockwise and remove from the t ank.
Use the filling flask and pou r water
into the tank. Please don ’t overfill.
Replace the cap on the water ta nk by
turning clockwise and ti ghtening.
2 Selec t a mop head and cleaning
pad. Each mop head ca n be used
on your floors. The Triangle Mo p
Head was specifically d esigned to
reach into those tight corners a nd
spaces, especially th ose found in
the bathroom. The XL Mop H ead
was designed to make quick work of
large open spaces. Th e Rectangle
Mop Head is completely vers atile.
Use the lavender loop on the sid e of
the micro-fiber cleani ng pocket to
place around the mop hea d. Then

IMPORTANT: Make sure you don’t
use the mop without attach ing
a micro-fiber pocket and a dding
water to the tank first. When you a re
using the mop for the first tim e, it
might take longer than the n ormal
30 seconds to start steam ing. Just
pump the handle a few times in a
downward motion to prime the
pump and it should be read y.
2 Pump the h andle a few times in a
downward motion. This pumpi ng
action will release steam a s you
mop and allows you to customize
the amount of steam you want.
Begin mopping with a forwa rd
and backward motion. Th e natural
motion of mopping will produ ce
steam.
NOTE: Make sure the floors are
swept or vacuumed before usi ng the
steam mop.
1 Pull and twist the quick release cord
holder to unwrap the power cord
completely. A great time saver!
Plug into a 120-volt electri cal outlet
The power “On” light will turn bl ue, it
takes approximately 30 secon ds for
the mop to heat up and the steam to
be ready.
