Battery installation
1Remove the battery cover.
2Insert the supplied batteries according to the direction indicated in
the battery compartment.
3Replace the cover.
Precautions for battery use:
zReplace all old batteries wi th new ones at the sam e time.
zDo not mix old and new batteries.
zRemove the batteries i f the unit will not be used for long periods of time. This will
prevent potential damage due to battery leakage.
Caution:
zDo not use rechargeable batteries (nic kel -cadmium battery, etc.).
zInstalling the batteries incorrectly may cause the unit to malfunction.
Notes concer nin g use:
zReplace the batteries if the operating distance is reduced or if the operation
becomes errati c. Purchase 2 "AA" size batteries (UM/ SUM-3, R6, HP-7 or simi-
lar).
zPeriodicall y clean the transmitter on the remote c ontrol and the sens or on the unit
with a soft cloth.
zExposing the sensor on the unit to strong light may interfere with operation.
Change the lighting or the direction of the unit.
zKeep the remote control away fr om moist ure, heat, shock, and vibrat ions .
Test of the remote control
Check the remote control afte r veri fyi ng all the connections (see pages 12 - 13).
Point the remote control directly at the remote sensor on the unit.
The remote control can be used within the range shown below:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button. Does the power turn on? Now, you can enjoy the
music.
When inserting or removing the batteries, push them toward the battery termi-
nals.
