Preparation for Use

To install the main unit and speakers on the wall

CAUTION:
zBe very careful to prevent the main unit [8.2 lbs. (3.7 kg)] from falling when mount-
ing on the wall.
zBefore mounting, check the wall strength. (Do not put to the veneer plaster or
whitewash ed wall. The main unit or speakers may fall.) I f it is not clear , consult a
qualified service technician.
zMounting screws are not suppli ed. Use appropriate ones.
zCheck all mounting screws for looseness and that they are engaged in the main
unit and speakers.
zMount the main unit and speakers on the wall with 2 screws for each.
zSelect a good location. If not, accidents may occur or the unit may get damaged.
zAvoid placing on a bed, sofa, water tank, sink and hallway wall.
zTo avoid accidents, fix the speaker wires to the wall. You may trip over them.

Driving screws

Sharp designed the main unit and speakers so you may hang them on the wall.
Use proper screws (not supplied). See below for size and type.

Installing the main unit

Drive two screws into the wall for the main unit and each speaker, as
shown in the illustration.
zMake sure that both the screw and the wall can support a load of 45 lbs. (20 kg).
zDrive the screws, so the s crew head extends about 7/32" ( 5.5 mm) out f rom the
wall.

1Fix the pattern pa per and drive two screws into the wall with a di s-
tance of 6-5/16" (160 mm) in between.
2Tighten the screws and remove the paper. Hook the main unit on
the screw heads and make sure it is secure.
Put the left speaker wire in the groove on the back of the main unit.
