Group Recording / Group Playback
-Recording by Group-
5Press the or button repeatedly to select a
group to add tracks to.
NEW GROUP (NEW-Gr):
To create a new group.
GR01, GR02, GR03...:
To add tracks to an existing group. (If the group name
has been recorded, the name will be displayed instead
of "GR01".)
Non GROUP (Non-Gr):
To record tracks as non-group.
"On the remote control, only "NEW-Gr" or "Non-Gr"
can be selected.
"Setting for group recording will not be changed until
a new setting is entered. To cancel settings for all
groups, select "Non GROUP (Non-Gr)".
6Press the ENTER/-USB ( ) butto n.
7Start recording.
Tracks are recorded in the group selected in step 5. To
change the group, stop recording and start over from
step 1.
Recording from a stereo system, etc.

Synchro recording (See steps 6 - 10 on pages 24 - 25.)
Recording from a Microphone

Notes:
"When a group-recorded MD is used for recording
or editing on other equipment, malf unction may
occur.
"After group recording, tracks not in the group
(non-grouped tracks) are moved behind the group
and track numbers change.
"If a group-recorded MD is played back with the equip-
ment that does not support the group function, the disc
name will not be displayed correctly and the group
name will not be displayed at all. (Example: 0;BEST//1-
10; )
"You can create up to 99 groups. "GROUP FULL" ap-
pears when you attempt to create more.
Even if the number of groups is 98 or less, "TOC FULL"
may appear indicating no more groups can be created.
"If "? Gr Form" appears, you need to start over. Refer to
"Error Messages" (see page 85).
