use. The new ENERGY STAR® labeled models will reduce that en-

ergy “leakage” by up to 75 percent. Ultimately , this will mean more than

$1 billion a year in energy savings for consumers.

related carbon dioxide pollution that contributes to global warming.

If every American family replaced their electronic equipment with

ENERGY STAR® labeled models, it would reduce air pollution equiva-

lent to eliminating more than two million cars.
