Wireless LAN Monitor Utility

Site Survey

The site Survey function scans the wireless network searching for available Access Points and wireless stations (ad hoc mode) within the range of the card. Available stations are listed with the following information:

BSSID

Basic Service Set ID. It is actually the MAC address of the Access Point/

wireless station (ad hoc mode). It can be used to identify the stations

when they have the same SSID.

SSID

Service Set ID. Displays the current SSID of the Access Point/wireless sta-

tion (ad hoc mode).

Signal

Shows the signal strength ratio. The higher the ratio, the more powerful

the signal received by your Gigaset USB Adapter 11. It helps you identify

the quality network operation.

Ch (Channel)

The operating radio channel number.

WEP

Indicates whether encryption is enabled or disabled on the Access Point/

wireless station (ad hoc mode).
