Powering the AirCard 580 (On/Off)

To power the AirCard 580 on and off:

1.Click the Watcher icon found in your system tray.

2.Select “Power Off Card” or “Power On Card” from the shortcut menu.

Note: Powering Off the AirCard 580 does not mean that you have exited Watcher.

WARNING: Do not eject theAirCard 580 from your notebook PC until you have followed the Unplug/Eject Hardware instructions for proper removal [See Chapter 3, page 11]. Removing the card improperly may damage your computer.

Note: If you have not activated your AirCard 580, an Activation Alert Notification displays once an attempt to connect is made. The dialog explains that you must activate your card in order to establish a connection.

Once you have properly inserted the AirCard 580 wireless modem into your notebook PC’s Type II PC Card slot. Watcher notifies that it is “Ready” to connect to the network.

Note: A “No Service” message appears when the AirCard 580 cannot locate the network.
