Auto Shutdown

You can set the radio to automatically power off after a 1 hour period of inactivity, that is, no buttons have been pressed for 1 hour.

When the Auto Shutdown feature is enabled, after 59 minutes of inactivity, a beep tone will sound and a display prompt will appear on the screen, Cancel Auto Shutdown. (Figure 49) At this point the auto shutdown can be reset to 1 hour of inactivity by pressing the Select but- ton. If the Auto Shutdown is not reset, the radio will automatically power off.

To enable or disable the Auto Shutdown feature, do the following:

1.Use the channel up and down buttons to highlight Auto Shutdown, and press the Select button.

2.Use the channel up and down buttons to highlight Enabled or Disabled, and press the Select button. (Figure 50)

Sleep Mode

The radio can be set to turn off automatically after a selected period of time, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

To activate or deactivate the Sleep Mode feature, do the following:

1. Use the channel up and down buttons to highlight Sleep Mode, and press the Select
