Auto spacing

This function inserts a gap of about four seconds

between tracks on playback. This can be useful when

recording to tape, so that automatic searching can

take place more easily on tapes recorded from disc

(see “Search keys” on page 19).

NOTE

This function is only available from the remote control

unit. It is not possible to use this function with the main

unit only.

If you press the AUTO SPACE key while the play-

back is automatically paused between tracks as a

result of the auto space function being enabled, the

unit remains in pause mode, and playback will not

restart after the auto pause time is elapsed.

If you press the AUTO SPACE key while playback is

taking place, and the auto space function is enabled,

the auto space function is then cancelled.
