Troubleshooting guide

Thefollowingchecklistwillhelpyouremedytheproblemsyoumayencounterwithyourunit. Beforegoingthroughthechecklistbelow,checktheconnectionandoperatingprocedures.

General

Problem	Cause/Solution

No sound.	•CanceltheATTfunction.
	•Setthefadercontroltothecenterpositionfortwo-speaker
	systems.
	•Rotatethedialinaclockwisedirectiontoadjustthevolume.

The contents of the memory	•Thepowercordorbatteryhasbeendisconnected.

CD/MD playback

Problem	Cause/Solution

A disc cannot be loaded.	•AnotherCDisalreadyloaded.
	•The CD is forcibly inserted upside down or in the wrong way
	(MD).

Playback does not begin.	Defective MD or dirty CD.

A disc is automatically ejected.	Theambienttemperatureexceeds50°C(122°F).

CD will not eject.	Press 6fortwoseconds.

The operation buttons do not	Presstheresetbutton.

The sound skips due to	•Theunitisinstalledatanangleofmorethan60°.

Radio reception
