Editing a phone number.
If you want to edit the name, phone number or location of an entry,
just follow the steps below. You can also use the Directory menu to
edit phone book numbers (see page 48).
1. Beginning from the standby display, turn the dial once to reach
the “Phone List” menu.
2. Turn the dial down to select “Phone Book.”
3. Turn the dial to find the entry you want to edit. As you scroll
through the entries, you will see the name, phone number
and memory location for each.
4. When you find the entry you want to edit, press the dial.
The Options menu will be displayed.
5. Turn the dial to select “Edit,” then press the dial.
6. The Edit menu will give you the option to change the “Name,”
“Phone #” or “Location #.” Press the dial to select the item you
want to edit.
7. If you are editing the name or location, enter the new information
then press the dial to save it.
8. If you are editing the phone number, enter the new information,
then press the dial to display the Options menu again. Turn the
dial to select “Save,” then press the dial.

Erasing a phone number.
1. Beginning from the standby display, turn the dial down twice to
select “Phone Book.”
2. Turn the dial to find the entry you want to erase, then press the
dial. The Options menu will then be displayed.
3. Turn the dial to select “Erase,” then press the dial. The screen
will prompt, “Erase Phone Book Location?”
4. Press the dial to confirm. After a few seconds, the standby
display will return.
You can also use the Directory menu to erase one phone book entry
at a time (see page 48) or use the Security menu to erase all phone
book entries at once (see page 53).
Using Speed Dial.
Speed dialing lets you quickly dial a phone book entry simply by
entering its location number. Just use the number buttons to enter
the memory location number then extend the mouthpiece to place
the call. If the mouthpiece is already extended, press .
You can also dial phone numbers stored in the phone book without
pressing by using the Touch Dial feature in the Extras menu
