Note on REC MODE

Whenyourecordonthestandard8 tape,yourcamcorderrecordsintheSPmode evenyouselecttheLPmodeinthemenusettings.Inthiscase,theindicator“8mm TAPEt SP REC, Hi8 TAPEt LP/SP REC” appears on the screen. Use the Hi8 tapesfortheLPmode.

Notes on the LP mode

•WhenyourecordatapeintheLPmodeonyourcamcorder,werecommendplaying thetapeonyourcamcorder.Whenyouplaybackthetapeonothercamcordersor VCRs, noise may occur in images or sound.

•WhenyourecordintheSPandLPmodesononetapeoryourecordsomescenesin theLPmode,theplaybackimagemaybedistortedorthetimecodemaynotbe writtenproperlybetweenscenes.

Note on AUDIO MODE

Whenplayingbackataperecordedinthe16-bitmode,youcannotadjustthebalancein

AUDIO MIX.

*To dub a tape to another VCR

YoucannotselectAUDIOMODEfortapesrecordedintheDigital8 system.You, however, can select AUDIO MODE when you dub tapes recorded in the Hi8/standard 8 system to another VCR using the i.LINK cable.
