Safety

Should any liquid or solid object fall into the cabinet, unplug the unit and have it checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.

Unplug the unit from the wall outlet if it is not to be used for a long period of time.

Operating Environment

Temperature: The air temperature in the immediate surrounding vicinity of an operating monitor, or air temperature within the structure in which it is operating (for example within a console), is likely to be greater than the average ambient room temperature. It is important, therefore, when installing the monitor, to ensure that the air temperature in this operating environment of the monitor does not exceed the maximum allowable temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius.

Air Flow: The level of air flow required for safe operation of the monitor must not be compromised or reduced in any way by the condition of its operating environment.

Installation

Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internal heat build-up. Do not place the unit on surfaces such as rugs, blankets or near curtains which might block the ventilation holes.

Do not install the unit in a location near heat sources such as radiators or air ducts, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture, mechanical vibration, or shock.

Transportation

Do not throw away the original carton and packing materials. They make an ideal container in which to transport the unit.

When shipping, repack the unit as illustrated on the carton.

When carrying, handle with care so as not to expose the unit to shock, especially to the picture tube.
