You cannot change the AM tuning interval in the Power Saving Mode.
Tips
•Pressing TUNER/BAND while the power is off automatically turns the power on.
•The preset stations are retained for half a day even if you unplug the power cord or if a power failure occurs.
•To improve the reception, adjust the supplied antennas or connect an external antenna.
Listening to the radio
You can listen to a radio station either by selecting a preset station, or by manually tuning in the station.
Listening to a preset station
— Preset Tuning
Preset radio stations in the tuner’s memory first (see “Presetting radio stations” on page 41).
1 Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly to select FM or AM.
2 Press . or > repeatedly to select the desired preset station.
To select the desired preset number using the numeric buttons on the remote
Press numeric buttons instead of performing step 2.
To enter preset number 10 or higher, press >10 and the corresponding numeric buttons. To enter 0, press 10/0.
Example:
To enter preset number 20, press >10, then 2 and 10/0.
Listening to non-preset radio station
— Manual Tuning
1 Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly to select FM or AM.
2 Press m or M repeatedly to tune in the desired station.
Tips
•To improve broadcast reception, reorient the antennas.
•When an FM stereo programme has static noise, press REPEAT/FM MODE on the remote repeatedly until “MONO” appears. There will be no stereo effect, but the reception will improve.
•Press and hold m or M in step 2 above. The frequency indication changes and scanning stops when the system tunes in a station (Automatic Tuning).
