Viewing images from your computer with this camera

When you want to view an image file using this camera that has been copied to your computer and has been deleted from the “Memory Stick Duo,” copy the image file back to the “Memory Stick Duo” from your computer first. Then you can play back the image with this camera.

If you have not changed any of the file names that were given automatically to images shot with this camera, you can skip step 1.

You may not be able to play back a particular image, due to its image size.

You may not be able to play back images processed on your computer with this camera.

1Right-click the image file, and click [Rename].

Change the file name to “DSC0ssss.”

ssss stands for any number within the range from 0001 to 9999.

Extensions may be displayed, depending on the settings made on your computer. The extension for a still image is jpg, and for a movie is mpg. Do not change the extensions.

2Copy the file to a folder in the “Memory Stick Duo.”

1Right-click the image file and click

[Copy].

2Select a [DCIM] folder in [Removable Disk] or [Sony

MemoryStick] in [My Computer].

3Right-click a [sss MSDCF] folder in the [DCIM] folder and click [Paste].

sss stands for any number within the range from 100 to 999.

When the overwrite confirmation message appears, change the file name by inputting another number in step 1.

If there is no folder in the “Memory Stick Duo,” create a folder with the camera, then copy the image file to the folder (page 25).
