Pictures recorded with a Sony digital video camera recorder that have an aspect ratio of 16:9 on your VCR can be played back. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV. Black bands appear on the LCD screen during playback in 16:9 WIDE mode [a]. The picture during playback on a normal TV [b] or a wide- screen TV [c] are compressed in the widthwise direction. If you set screen mode of the 16:9 wide- screen TV to the full mode, you can see normal images [d].
