Troubleshooting
If you experience trouble with the camera, try the following solutions.
The battery pack cannot be installed.
•When you insert the battery pack, use the tip of the battery pack to push the lock lever.
•You can only u se an NP-FW50 battery pack. Make sure that the batte ry is NP-FW50.
The remaining battery level indicator shows an incorrect level or power runs out
quickly despite the indicator showing sufficient battery level.
•This phen omenon occurs when you use the camera in an extremel y hot or cold location.
•The batter y pack is discharged. Install a charged battery p ack.
•The batter y pack is dead. Replace the battery pack with a new one.
The camera cannot be turned on.
•Install t he battery pack correctly.
•The batter y pack is discharged. Install a charged battery p ack.
•The batter y pack is dead. Replace the battery pack with a new one.
•The screen display is set to the viewfinder. Pr ess the FINDER/LCD button to switch th e display to the
LCD screen.
The power turns off suddenly.
•When the camera or battery pack is too hot, the camera displays a warning message and turns off
automatically to protect the camera.
•If you do not operate the camera for given perio d of time, the camera turns to power sav ing mode. To
cancel the power save, operate the camera by means such as p ressing the shutter button halfwa y down
(page141).

2Remove the battery pack, wait for about 1 minute, re-insert

the battery pack, and then turn on the power.

3Reset the settings (page 151).
