The image is blurred.
•The pictur e was taken in a dark location without the flash, resulting in camera-shake. The use of a
tripod or the flash is recommended (page 64). [Hand-he ld Twilight] (page 55) and [ Anti Motion Blur]
(page55) in [Scene Selection] are also effective in reducing blur.
The exposure value is flashing on the LCD screen or the viewfinder.
•The subject is too bright or too dark for the metering range of the camera.
Images cannot be played back.
•The folder /file name has been changed on your computer.
•When an image fil e has been processed by a computer or when the image fil e was recorded using a
model other than that of your camera, playback on your camera is not guaranteed.
•The camera is in USB mode. Disconnecting the camera from the comp uter (page 166).
•Use “Play Memories Home” to copy images stored on your comput er to your camera to play them
back on your camera.
The image cannot be deleted.
•Cancel the pro tection (page 104).
The image was deleted by mistake.
•Once you have deleted an image, you cannot restore it. We recommend that you protect images that
you do not want to delete (page104).
A DPOF mark cannot be put.
•You canno t place DPOF marks on RAW images.
Not sure if the OS of the computer is compatible with the camera.
•Check “R ecommended computer environment” (page 160).
The computer does not recognize the camera.
•Check that the camera is turned on.
•When the battery level is low, install the charged battery pack, or use the AC-PW20 AC Adaptor (sold
separately).
•Use the USB ca ble (supplied) for connection.
•Disconnect the USB cable, and connect it again firmly.
•Set [USB Con nection] to [Mass Storage] (page 147).
•Disconnect all equipment other than the camera, the keyb oard and the mouse from the USB terminals
of your computer.
•Connect the ca mera directly to your computer without passing through a USB hub or other device.
•If your compu ter has more than one USB terminal, reconnect the USB c able using another USB
terminal.
•Set [USB LUN Setti ng] to [Single].
