Using the Screen Mode Feature
The Screen Mode feature is useful for adjusting a 16:9 (widescreen) program for optimal viewing on your TV’s 4:3 aspect ratio screen. Using the Screen Mode feature, you can enlarge pictures so that they better fill the screen (enlarging the picture so that the black bars on the edges of the screen are clipped off).
✍The Screen Mode option is available only for digital 16:9 programming.
