Accessing the Parental Lock Settings

To highlight an option and to change settings, press tl. ,I, * *.
Press (_ to confirm the selection.
To exit the Parental Lock, press _.
The Parental Lock setting allows you to set up the TV to block programs according to their content and rating
levels.
_A password needs to be setup before Parental Lock settings can
be accessed for the first time, This password is required for any
future access to the Parental Lock settings. If you have lost your
password, see ,'Lost password', on page 83.

Selecting Parental

Lock Options

"_"If you are not familiar
with the Parental
Guideline rating system,
you should select Child,
Youth, or Young Adult to
help simplify the rating
selection. Toset more
restrictive ratings, select
Custom.

Tile Parental Lock settings include tile following options:

Rating Off Turn Parental Lock off. No programs are
Turn ratings on/q_'and blocked from viewing. (See below for turning
sele{t a rating system off the Digital Rating.)
Child Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-Y. TV-G, G
Canada: C, G, TV-Y
Youth Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-PG, PG
Canada: C8+, PC. 8 ans+, TV-PG
Young Maximum ratings permitted are:
Adult U.S.: TV-14, PC-13
Canada: 14+, 13 ans+, TV-14
Custom... Select to set ratings manually.

DigitalRating Off Turn Digital Rating off. No programs
(Available only in U.S.A. containing digital ratings are blocked from
whe_ advanced ratings (_ist) viewing.
