Playing a CD (continued)

Stop playback	Press CD x (or x on the
	remote).
Pause	Press CD u (or X on the
	remote). Press again to
	resume playback.
Select a track	During playback or pause,
	press CD . (or l on
	the remote) or CD > (or
	L on the remote)
	repeatedly until you find
	the desired track.
Locate a desired	During playback, press
point in a track	down CD m (or j on
	the remote) or CD M (or
	J on the remote) until
	you find the desired point.
Remove or replace	Press CD EJECT A.

Adjust the volume	Turn VOLUME (or press
	VOL +/– on the remote).

Tips

•If you press CD u (or CD H on the remote) when the power is off, the system automatically turns on and the CD starts playing if there is a CD on the disc tray (One Touch Play).

•To switch to the CD while listening to another source, press CD u (or CD H on the remote). The CD will automatically start playing (Automatic Source Selection).

•“NO DISC” appears in the display if there is no CD on the disc tray.

Recording from a CD to a tape

— CD Synchro Recording

The CD Synchro Recording function makes it easy to record from a CD to a tape. Both Type I (normal) and Type II (CrO2) tapes can be used. To record only the tracks that you want, it is convenient to use the Program Edit function (see page 23).

To turn on the system, press ?/1.
