Turn power off

1Attach the recorder to the station. 1 Place the right side of the

recorder.

2Push down until it clicks. Make sure to attach the recorder in the right way. Pushing with force may cause a malfunction.

2Insert a recordable MD.

1 Slide the 開く(open) switch and open the lid.

2Insert a recordable MD with the label side facing up. and press the lid down to close.

3Select the input source.

Set 入力切換 (input select) switch to the connected input.

Select "デジタル（光）" to record signals from デジタル（光）入力 (OPTICAL IN).

Select "アナログ" to record signals from 入力(LINE IN).

4Select recording start point.

If you want to add a recording to the end of the previous recording, press エ ンドサーチ(end search).

(If you want to start recording from the beginning, skip this step).

5Start recording.

1 Slide the 録音(record) switch to the right while pressing its button.

"REC" lights up and recording starts . 2 Play the sound source.

To stop recording, press p.

Do not move or jog the recorder or disconnect the power source while the "TOC EDIT" indication is flashing in the display.

the previous	recording and press
recording	pto stop. Then slide
	the 録音 (record)
	switch.

Remove the MD p,then slide the 開く (open) switch and open the lid.**電源(Power)

*A new track mark is added at the point where you pressed P, and the recording will be marked with the new track number when you resume recording.

**Once you open the lid, the point to start recording will change to the beginning of the first track. When recording on a recorded MD, check the point to start recording on the display.

If the recording does not start

Make sure the MD is not record-protected. If the tab at the side of the MD is open, slide it back so the tab is visible.

Playing an MD right away!

See the illustrations in the Japanese text (pages 12 to 13). The following explains how to play MDs on the recorder while detached from the station.

Before playing, insert the dry batteries or rechargeable battery into the recorder (see page 30).

1Detach the recorder from the station.

1 Slide the 本体取りはずし (detach recorder) switch.

2Connect the remote controller- equipped headphones (supplied) to the 2/リモコン jack.

2	Insert an MD.
	1	Slide the 開く(open) switch
		and open the lid.

	2	Insert an MD with the label
		side facing up, and
3		press the lid down to close.
	Start playing.
	1	Press(.	Instructions
		A short beep sounds in the
		headphones.
	2	Press the 音量(volume) -/+
		buttons to adjust the volume.
		You can check the volume in
		the display.

To stop play, press p.

A long beep sounds in the headphones.
