Tip

If the playback does not start

Make sure the recorder is not locked. If it is locked, slide the ホールド (hold) switch in the opposite direction of the arrow.

Recording from a microphone

Connect a microphone to the マイク（プラグインパワー）(mic plug in power) jack. Use a stereo microphone ECM-909A, ECM- 717, etc., not supplied).

1Select the input level with the マイク感度 (Mic sensibility) switch.

Usually, set it to 高(high). When you record loud sound such as an live, set it to 低(low).

2Insert a recordable MD.

Slide the 開く(open) switch to open the lid, insert a recordable MD, and close the lid.

3Slide the 録音 (record) switch to the right while pressing its button. "REC" lights up and recording starts.

Note

You can record from a microphone attached to the station. Set the 入力切換(input select) switch to "アナログ(analog)", and press the 録音(record) button on the station.

Recording in monaural for double the normal recording time of an MD

See the illustration in the Japanese text (page 14).

Before recording, make connections to the sound source and the power source, and insert a recordable MD. You can operate in the same way on the station as on the recorder.

1While pressing P, slide the 録音 (record) switch to the right. The recorder enters record standby mode.

2Press the モード(mode) button. "Mono REC" appears in the display, and the recorder switches to monaural recording.
