My microphone does not work
If you are using an external microphone, check that the microphone is plugged into the microphone connector.
About the modem
My internal modem does not work
❑Check that the phone line is plugged into your computer.
❑Check that the phone line is working. You can check the line by plugging in an ordinary phone and listening for a dial tone.
❑Check that the phone number the program is dialing is correct.
❑In the Modems Properties dialog box (Control Panel / Modems*), check that your modem is listed in the General tab, and that the location information is correct on the Dialing Properties tab.
* If you do not see the Modems icon, proceed as follows:
1In Control Panel click Tools and click Folder Options…
2Select the View tab.
3In the Advanced settings: dialog box, select the option Display all Control Panel options and all folder contents.
4Click OK.
My modem cannot establish a connection
The modem dialing mode may be incompatible with your telephone line.
